Symptoms
What you will notice
- A single oven or hotplate never heats
- Zone display lights flash rapidly
- An error code appears on the customer's panel or handset
- Zone was working then permanently disabled itself
Likely causes
What is usually behind it
- Element open circuit on that channel (triac fault reported)most common
- Thermocouple open circuit or differential faultcommon
- Main TEK PCB relay or triac failureless common
- Blocking error that escalated to a lock after four occurrences in 24 hourscontext
Diagnostics
How a technician diagnoses it
Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.
- 1Get the error code from the customer BEFORE attending.
- 2Isolate the supply and test for safe electrical isolation.
- 3Connect TEK Vision with interface key AE4M280824 and read both the temporary fault log and the permanent fault count. Save the fault-count log to file.
- 4For a 130–136 triac code: check the element connections at the terminals for that channel and measure element resistance — expect 18–22 ohms. Open circuit = replace the element.
- 5If the element measures correctly and the firmware version is correct, replace the main PCB.
- 6After repair, reset the PCB with the reset button (hold until 'system reset' appears); mains cycling will not clear a lock.
Safety first
240V, 30A supply. Isolation and proven-dead testing mandatory. Torque all electrical connections to spec (14-way terminal block: 0.8 Nm initial, 0.6 Nm retighten; oven element sub-assembly 2 Nm).
