The fix
How it is fixed
Test the thermocouple with a multimeter. Duplex thermocouples are used — 4 wires at the plug, each thermocouple being one green and one white conductor, so test across green and white. If open circuit, exchange. Also check the thermocouples are fully plugged into the user control panel. NOTE: returned thermocouples have tested OK at room temperature but drifted apart or gone open circuit at higher temperatures — rule this out.
Safety & DIY disclaimer
Guides on this site are for information only. Appliance repair involves 240V electricity, gas connections, refrigerant and heavy cast-iron parts — anything you do yourself is at your own risk and can damage the appliance or cause injury. The safe option is to book a qualified technician.

- 006 — WD WDT Fault (watchdog timer)
- 007 — TC Ref Fault — the user panel PCB is unable to process thermocouple measurements
- 010-014 — Full power time out — the cooking zone is taking too long to reach its expected temperature. This is a safety feature, not necessarily a component failure.
- 020-024 — Thermocouple differential — the two thermocouples in a zone disagree
- 110-116 — Relay short circuit
- 120-124 — Cooking zone overheat error
- 130-136 — Triac fault
- 139 — User panel overheat — excessive temperatures recorded at the control panel
- 140 — Configuration key fault
- 150-156 — Relay open circuit
- 159 — RF fault — receiver not communicating with the PCB
Frequently asked questions
What does AGA error code 060-100 mean?
Thermocouple open circuit
Can I keep using my AGA with code 060-100?
A power cycle at the breaker (60 seconds) may clear a one-off code. If the code returns, stop using the affected zone or appliance and book service — continuing to run can turn a small fault into a board-level repair.
