Diagnostics

How a technician diagnoses it

Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.

  1. 1Confirm power is on — the burners will not spark without it, even though gas is present.
  2. 2For continuous clicking: turn everything off, dry and clean the ignition electrodes to remove grease and debris, and let the area dry fully.
  3. 3Check the ignition switch is not jammed.
  4. 4If cleaning does not resolve it, check the spark electrode and spark wire before condemning the module. If those are good, the spark module is likely defective.
  5. 5Confirm burner heads and caps are correctly seated after any cleaning.
