Diagnostics
How a technician diagnoses it
Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.
- 1Every cooktop burner has a safety device that stops gas flow if the flame goes out. It must be overridden by holding the knob in so gas flows and the flame sensor heats up.
- 2Instruct: turn the control off, wait one minute, then retry holding the knob in slightly longer.
- 3If it still drops out, test the FFD/thermocouple and the gas tap.
- 4Service note: if more than one gas tap is faulty, remove and replace only one at a time to avoid mixing up connections.
