How a technician diagnoses it
Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.
- 1Reset the manually resettable overheat thermostat and observe whether it trips again under load.
- 2If it re-trips, test the control thermostat before replacing the cut-out.
- 3Oven overheat thermostat phials are mounted in the roof of the roast oven alongside the oven thermocouple. Remove the phial location bracket when replacing.
Safety first
Never bypass an overheat cut-out. It switches the neutral side and is the last line of thermal protection.
