## How a technician diagnoses it

1. Insulating lids (2005 onwards) are supplied complete with the hinge fitted; the two hinge end-bearing locking grub screws are supplied loose.
2. With the lid closed, adjust the level by turning the adjustable bearing inside the ends of the hinge with a pozi driver through the tapped holes in the cast-iron lid.
3. When level, lock the bearing with the flat-face locking grub screw using an Allen key.
4. Open and close the lids several times to confirm the bearings are positively locked and the lids sit evenly.
