## What you will notice

- Zone will not start
- E2 or E6 on an AGA ERA
- Buzzing or noise from the pan
- Intermittent power delivery

## What is usually behind it

- Cookware not suitable for induction or of poor quality (most common)
- Pan base too small or warped (common)
- Normal induction noise mistaken for a fault (not a fault)

## How a technician diagnoses it

1. Test with known-good induction cookware before any teardown.
2. Explain normal behaviour: noise from the pan is normal, most noticeable at high power settings or with five pans running simultaneously; the type of pan also contributes.
3. Warn the customer that continued use of unsuitable cookware may cause serious damage to the induction hob.
