Diagnostics

How a technician diagnoses it

Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.

  1. 1Remove and re-install the water filter, pushing firmly until it locks solidly into position. Replace it if it is six months old or older.
  2. 2Confirm the supply line does not kink when the refrigerator is pushed against the wall.
  3. 3Turn off the household water line valve, remove and clean the valve; confirm it is not a self-piercing saddle valve, and replace if necessary.
  4. 4Move any obstruction and release the ice maker wire signal arm.
  5. 5Set the freezer control colder and allow 24 hours to stabilise; press Fast Freeze to temporarily boost ice production.
  6. 6On well systems, have the pump cut-off and cut-on pressures raised. On RO systems, below 20 psi during regeneration is normal.
