Diagnostics
How a technician diagnoses it
Our technicians follow the factory diagnostic path for this fault.
- 1Remove and re-install the water filter, pushing firmly until it locks solidly into position. Replace it if it is six months old or older.
- 2Confirm the supply line does not kink when the refrigerator is pushed against the wall.
- 3Turn off the household water line valve, remove and clean the valve; confirm it is not a self-piercing saddle valve, and replace if necessary.
- 4Move any obstruction and release the ice maker wire signal arm.
- 5Set the freezer control colder and allow 24 hours to stabilise; press Fast Freeze to temporarily boost ice production.
- 6On well systems, have the pump cut-off and cut-on pressures raised. On RO systems, below 20 psi during regeneration is normal.
